GenAI is evolving.. and one of the clear new trends that will impact all the business is "Agentic AI" and the use of AI Agents. I have been trying to find a simple definition of what an Agent is.. and not easy to found one tbh (in "plain English")
After looking at different sources and websites, I would highlight the following two:
#1 From Microsfot (simple and easy to understand=: “Think of agents as the new apps for an AI-powered world,” says Jared Spataro, Microsoft’s chief marketing officer for AI at Work. “We’re rapidly adding new capabilities to tackle individuals’ biggest pain points at work and drive real business results.”

#2 from BCG (more detailed= "AI agents are artificial intelligence that use tools to accomplish goals. AI agents have the ability to remember across tasks and changing states; they can use one or more AI models to complete tasks; and they can decide when to access internal or external systems on a user’s behalf. This enables AI agents to make decisions and take actions autonomously with minimal human oversight." https://www.bcg.com/capabilities/artificial-intelligence/ai-agents p.s I found the BCG link truly great.
Carlos absolutely agree — Agentic AI is one of the most impactful trends emerging in the AI space right now. It has the potential to reshape how businesses operate at every level. Today, I have posted in Linkedin about AI agents from an entrepreneurial perspective: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7308929189678661632/
